nice to meet you signmeup, my doc was hydros, norco and tyl#3. I was just so tired of being tired if you know what I mean. It was not easy i was the relapes queen. i would go a few days to even a month before i was useing again.Never thought i would get clean. Then one day my son who is mentaly handicap and has cerbly palsy wrote a letter in school of his hero. he chose me as his hero. when he brought it home I read it and cried for hours. when I was done crying I flushed all my pills and kept that letter in my hands for days. The only thing I took was ambien for a few days to help me sleep but that was all. It was thanks to my son who is my hero!!! it is still hard some days but I just read the letter and it gets better.I am very proud of my self refusing the pain meds i did not know if I could do it. but when the doctor said he was writing a RX for norcos I just said no thanks i don't want them. so he wrote thr RX for soma which I don't know what they are.Have not taking any either. sorry so long. How did you GET clean? Are you on Subs - or nothing? Just curious cuz I really want to get clean. Taking whatever short acting opioids I can after stopping the sub 21 days ago. But really want to get clean! How long were you abusing in the past? If you don't mind me asking, and what was your DOC? So proud of you that you are refusing meds. Also, I'm having a major problem with depression when I try to get off. Any suggestions? Would anti-depressants work for a little while till I got back on my feet? do you know? Thanks for any response.
You are a glutton for punishment arent you!! Way to go on 80 days!!! Im proud of you. Rest and get better .....Nice to see you posting by the way.........sara
I have found that ibuprofen 800mg every 6 hrs max 2400mg/24 hours does a great job for pain and pulled muscles.Try not to keep that dose up for very long because it is hard on the stomach and kidneys. You can alternate with tylenol 1000mg every 4 hrs max 4000mg/24 hrs,if the ibuprofen is not enough.
Congrats on being so strong in refusing opiates.
Wow your job is really dangerous and always prone to injury.
Wishing you nothing but the best! Glad that I could be of some help to you!
AND JUST TO GIVE YOU ALL THE MORE REASON NOT TO TAKE IT
This medication may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Carisoprodol should never be given to another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to it.
You may have withdrawal symptoms when you stop using carisoprodol after using it over a long period of time. Do not stop using this medication suddenly without first talking to your doctor. You may need to use less and less before you stop the medication completely.
Carisoprodol can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert.
Thank you. I wont fill the RX then. I worked to hard to get to where i am at. Just to have to go through it all again. Plymouthgirl
I'm not sure but perhaps you could google it, i bet you find lots of info. Good luck and congrats on 80 days!!! Jacky
From what I hear soma's are not something us Addicts/recovering addicts need to take when we are trying with all we have to stay clean!
