I'm not sure I'm strong enough

I came off lortab 3 days ago.  I have been on and off for the last 3 years.  The problem is I am having horrible pain from my sciatic problem.  I know my doctor will call in meds, but I need to get off.  Any advise???

You have to ask yourself, is the medication for pain, or because you are addicted.

I don't know what is wrong with my back, but I am guessing that sciatic problems hurt bad. I went back on the medication because I was not able to figure out what I could take besides the norcos for the pain. I don't know what would work for you, but you shouldn't have to be in pain.

If you are truly in pain, you should relieve it, if you are just hating the withdrawals, you should continue to stop the medication.

You know what the truth is, so your conscience will know why you want it and why you take it.

If you are still wanting to stop, then there is more than enough support here. If you can't, I nor any decent people would judge you for it.

HI.....my back is a mess 2 herniated disks and 3 deteriorating....I played the pill game for 10 yrs till every conceivable pill quit working then it was on to methadone started out at 30 mg wound up at 15mg over 6 1/2 yrs then it quit working for pain so I said enough was enough and weend off the methadone...today im clean and have less pain then when I was on the pills or methadone those drugs interrupt the bodys natural ability to block pain....when you first go off them you get rebound pain it can last for a wile but ones the natural endorphins start to flow again your pain can often be managed with 800mg ibuprofine or advile bot neter one will work wile on narcotics or right after you stop it takes 2 weeks to a month for things to start working again but you may find like myself and many of our members your in less pain without the pills the alterntive is a 16 1/2 yr hell I went threw trust me it wasn't worth is recovery is so much better to live in give it a chance you may be suprized good luck and God bless,,,Gnarly
