Immediate codeine detox

I am 23 yrs old and hv been taking solphadeine soluble pills for the past 5/6 years.i take around 18 a day and no one in my life knows i take this many. I need some advice. I have found out that i might be pregnant and i need to stop taking these pills now. I went cold turkey once and got terrible headaches. I want to know if there is something else i can take to help with the severe headaches? I might be pregnant or i might not be, either way i need to stop. Pls help.

Sure - this place will be great for you - read as much as you can so you know what to expect.

However - I do think what's most important is that you check in with your Dr. on what you're trying to do.  If you are pregnant then it's really important to have a Dr. on board with you as you move forward.  Doing this on your own is not a good idea so please, see your Dr. and tell them what you're trying to do.  From what I've seen on this forum, Dr.'s have seen this kind of thing A LOT and will not judge you.  They'll only want to help you be well for you and your baby (if you are pregnant.)

Good luck to you and again, welcome!  :)

thank you for replying to me. im not sure if i feel i can go to the doctor without anyone finding out. i live in malta (a tiny island in the Mediteranean) and they are sometimes behind in their ways. i think i can do this on my own this time. just thinking about the defects i could be giving my (maybe) baby has already made me take more than half of the normal amount of pills that i take daily. all i need is someone kind of meds that will take the edge off the headaches i get with withdrawal..

I understand your fear, I do.

Only you need to consider the baby - if you are pregnant.  And if the stress is causing you to use more - then that's NOT good and you know that.  Please, find a Dr. you can talk to - that might take some searching but it's what you have to do now.  Please.  Reconsider okay?  Maybe the Dr. could work with you on the headaches as well and find a safe alternative to dealing with them.  It really starts with a good Dr.
