In withdrawal from tramadol, soma and caffeine

Hello,

I am new to this forum and site. This is my first post.

8 days ago I stopped taking soma after using it of an on, mostly on for about 2 years.  My normal daily dosage was 6-8 350mg tablets.  I experienced 2 days of being laid up with nausea and headaches; then it subsided and I went back to normal daily activites without soma.

Then, I withdrew from tramadol (and caffeine at the same time) starting yesterday at noon.  I went through hell with both severe caffeine withdrawals on top of the tramadol cessation. Severe nausea, severe headaches and a feeling of depression and disconnection from my normal moods, interests and activities.  I also had been taking tramadol off and on for around 2 years.  My normal dosage was 8-10 50mg. tablet daily.  I have stopped both this and the soma cold turkey.

Really, I am looking for support to make it through this and any suggestions of what might help and how long it might be before I start feeling better.  I am still feeling weak and somewhat nauseous.  Of course I haven't slept much or eaten anything for the past two days.

hang in there, in a couple weeks are gonna be the best version of yourself you've ever seen.  as you stay sober, you'll continue to grow stronger and faster.  the more pain, the more gain!!! stick it out buddy, and call up someone you can count on when you get depressed

Hi again Lessa,

I wasn't sure what you meant about the caffeine and headaches.  I had horrible nausea inducing headaches starting about 8 hours after not getting my usual morning caffeine fix; but the headaches are gone now.

One technical question ... How do you search for your own posts in these forums?

Thanks,

Rick

Into day 3 now and I feel a little better; but not so good most of the time.  Still not taking any trams, somas orr caffeine.  Didn't know about the psychological impact as well as the physical.  In addition to feeling weak, lethargic and with sore muscles, I have experienced some depression and anxiety.  Tell me it gets better! :)
Thanks,
Rick

Welcome to the forum and good on you for quitting.. soma although it seems innocent enough can really throw a monkey wrench into things. You should start to feel better from the trams in about a week.. Hot baths/showers motrin drink plenty of water and exercise.. try to eat a lil at a time ok sleep will be elusive for a few days but it does return. giving up the coffee could be helping with the headache.. read the forum pick up tips on how to make wd bearable and congratulations on the decision to claim your life back from drugs... lesa
