Into day 8 and want to sleep

Hi all how is everyone?  I'm on day 8 and feel extremely awake tonite.  Last nite I slept fine but not the case tonite so far.  It's only 10:30 but I should be tired.  Is it normal to have good nites and bad nites at this juncture in my recovery?  After last nite I thought I was golden!  Other than that I feel great, eating good, happy all day and the energy is coming back already!

Hi Jay
that is the way it went for me I think if you give it a few more days things will mellow out for you and you sleep pattern should return...

Hi Jay,

My experience is that W/D is different with every time you do it...and it doesn't get better (all the more reason to get clean and stay that way)! What's happening to you sounds normal. I used Benadryl for sleep last time, and it really helped.

Hang in there!

The sleep thing can take a bit to get back on track. For me it seemed like the first 5 days in I could sleep like crazy. After that I couldn't sleep for about a week and then I had good nights and bad nights for another week. So everything sounds pretty normal. The sleep seems to be one of the longest lingering symptoms for everyone. Seeing that you got a good nights sleep last night is a great sign that you are well on your way. It shouldn't be long now and you'll be right back to yourself again.
Congrats on your clean time. Keep up the great work!
Best of luck!

Brian
