Introducing Notes

Hi,

We've had a lot of requests from our members for the ability to leave a quick note of support, congrats, a thank you, or even a hug, to other members without having to start a new discussion within the forum. We thought this was another great idea from the MedHelp Community and we're pleased to announce we've just launched Notes. We now have 9 themed notes that you can quickly write to other members, simply by hovering over their name and clicking "Leave a Note". Most recent notes will appear right on the members profile, and we've added a new tab called "Notes" where all of them will be listed.

Leave a quick note for a friend and try it out! Thanks for the terrific ideas, and keep the feedback coming.

Email thing is still screwed up...sorry guys if I dont answer...I am finally figuring it out...just a different format...have rebooted and signed on and off numerous times...also whe i used to put my browser on a name, it would show some details about the person, like where they were from..and give me the option to send a message...now I have to click on their pic...oh well

They are looking into the Notes issue.

As far as spell check, most MAC and PC programs like Firefox have spell check so that is not something they are looking to install on the site.

I would like to trade my "Notes" for a "Back to Forum" button in my inbox.

The note are kinda ....silly, and....useless.  And they definately shouldn't show up under recent activity.
Sorry Med Help, most changes you've made have been good, but this one bombed.

As far as a spell check...ah, if we're gonna grade for spelling, how about punctuation?  A few periods thrown in at the end of sentances would be good.  LOL

I use the Mozzilla firefox browser and then . It has a spell checker built in and I use an addon that blocks the ads so I don't get the ads when I block them.

yes...they are in different format...not like they were in the box...it is like totally different and it is hard to know where to click to read the message..I was waiting on one from someone who is CT this weekend and I am afraid I can not find it...it is hard to expain just a lot of little tiny boxes beside names and words in my pm box

Do you think these notes may have anything to do with the format my inbox is in now?  has anyone else had a change in their inbox appearance?  it is hard to read your email

I don't get it. What are the notes for? And why do you send out a note telling everyone who sent who a note? Please tell the staff member who came up with these notes to go work on some smiley faces for the posts and scrap these notes.

Wink, Wink.....  If we don't use the notes, they won't take up all the space on the right.

I KNOW we ALL need a SPELL CHECKER more than anything...I can not even count how many times I have to hit the "backspace" button!

OK....Avisg and Fladdict....the notes need to be removed, we have too much going on and it takes away from the focus. We have personal messages so the notes are senseless.

I agree that the moods should stay the focus.  I also think the notes should be a personal thing.....not for everyone else to see.

The harm is that sometimes ppl put their mood up as a cry for help but do not want to post....we need to be able to see their mood!
