Iron Pills/diarrhea

Just a note; if you have bad diarrhea from withdrawals, etc... you can try taking iron pills. Iron pills can cause constipation and hardening of the stool. :)

I've never done this deliberately but I just realized my last dose drop I didn't suffer stomach wise...and I happened to be taking iron pills. I just realized the coincidence. :)

Be careful about taking too much iron unless you're young--- it can be harmful in large ddoses

iron taken alone will not absorb properly. it is best absorbed when taken with high concentrations of vitamin c enriched food. so a glass of orange juice or something comparable is the best idea.

Good idea!   never thought about that...i avoid iron because of that...too late for me but may benefit others...and the extra iron is probably needed by many..I do believe iron is to be taken with food to avoid stomach upset
