Is Day 15 known as a killer?!

First off, my deepest appreciation to all of you who have helped me much just getting this far... and apologies that I don't have the strength yet to add comments to help others... thanks to endless Love from Above I've made it into Day 16 w/d from long years of pain meds most recently oxy's... I can't sleep, though... tried melantonin and valerian, hot showers, long walks... finally last night another all-nighter and it just fried me totally... my body feels likes its falling apart, everything hurts, had some heart issues about 3 yrs. ago (3 stents - 2 cyphers, 1 bare metal) and imagine that this insomnia is now taking its toll on my heart... I was hanging in psychicly, spiritually, but now what little energy I had is gone and I hate to be such a crybaby but I feel turrible bad... Suggestions, anybody??

just keep hangin in there! it will get better!! as for the sneezing- I dont know, that is one WD symptom I never got any of the times I went thru it, but i know alot of folks here did have that happen to them too. I hope you find regular sleep soon. that is so important *duh, right?* LOL  but even moreso right now for you. Take care and keep posting. Time is your friend..

Thanks greatly for your comments!  I've never had a prob w/valium andso after a week w/o any real sleep I did take some and it was a huge relief...sleep's pretty essential stuff, it seems...!.... Is ALTERIL the same as Benadryl??  I'm not in the US, so I'm gonna ask someone to pick up some of these OTC sleep aids and find one that works!

have you tried the OTC called ALTERIL it has worked wonders for my sleep? congrats on your clean time keep up the good work!

Congrats!!  The sneezing was a wierd one for me..I remember reading somewhere that It was our brains and bodies waking up., beause the narcotics had everything sleeping for so long....

I am not a doctor, but with your heart , I do think your body needs sleep...Were you ever addicted to the valuim??  Even after the physical was over, it took me a while to get sleep also..
I am not sure about the ear thing, but i do know I started smelling everything, and sounds were much louder....

(your picture is very attractive indeed) I did go c/t w/Thomas Recipe - that's how I got this far Day 16....but I only used the valium for those first few truly killer days and then stopped... but I may have get a little more if this insomnia keeps up - I can't take it... falling to pieces (isn't that a dumb song?)    Thanks for your post

You are not a crybaby at all, recovery is an extremely difficult process and moments of complete weakness and pain, but that is what will make you stronger. Congrats on 15 days, your still early and there will be ups and downs. Sorry about no sleep, it's one of the last things to come, but it will. Over 2 weeks now and you will start to see improvements so just hang in there, your doing great!
