Just got home THANK YOU to everyone for saving me from that misery!  No way do I want to go through something worse than w/d from these *****lortabs.  After the funeral today one of my sons friends popped two lortabs UNDER his tongue and I was so happy that I was not only disgusted with the pills I did not want any!(not that anyone knows but.....)   Any pill that makes you this sick is so bad, hope I never forget.  Hugs to everyone!

I just cant believe that Tramadol is as bad as oxy....and if you are gonna give in due to the pain...I would think it better to do a Tramadol one weekend then Oxy....

Maybe im wrong....b/c i'm the last guy that should give advise on staying clean..

Those pills are the worst I wasnt even addicted to them and went through w/ds when i stopped taking them and I was only taking 1 200 cr ultram a day. This is the drug that makes my blood boil because people take it thinking its SAFE and its NOT!! And the withdrawel was worse than the vicoden or the methadone I took to get off the vicoden I just didnt have the mental part. There are LOTS of other things to take I heard Mobic works very well but I havent tried that myself.

it is addicitve, it is different than most opiates or opioids for that matter, but it still will give you, after long term large doses-withdrawals almost idnentical as with full on opiates and on top of that ,major seizures have been reported. even though the chemical make-up is a little diff. than other synthetic opiates it still ahs the addictive qualities.i definitely know it can be horrible. i tried using tramadol to get off of oxycontin and heroin and was able to stay clean for over two months but eventually we needed tog et off that and then it starte dall over again. getting worse and worse.if you decided to use them wheng etting off slowly slowly taper and def. dont stop taking them suddenly. it can be absolutely deadly. i hope youre pain gets a lot better, and wish you the best of luck in all of youre endeavors...christos

Yes, Ultram, or Tramadol( its generic name) is addictive. It contains a synthetic opiate, that is the problem. I don't know much about withdrawals I have been taking it about more than a year now, but not more than 2 pills a day, sometimes only one, sometimes none . It wasn't until I found this site that I realized it was an opiate, I freaked out, now I take it less often and planning on going cold turkey in this month. I'm dealing now with a heavier problem, a benzo, Xanax, highly dangerous to get off. I'm tapering off slowly as my doctor indicated and having some troubles with W/D symptoms. That one is priority number one, then will be the Ultram and Vicodine, also taken in small doses and irregularly, I think it wouln't be a problem. Sorry for the rambling.
Good luck, Bob

Its highly addictive its not an option. If you are an addict you will be going from the frying pan into the fire .The WD is worse then with hydro. You have to taper off and there is a real risk of seizures  it you abuse it . Stay away from it .Look threw the forum there is tons of people her that have been addicted to it.

I do not know much about it...but someone told me recently that when you withdrawl from it, it's worse than oxys. I don't know how true that is, so don't take my word for it. Just passing on what someone else told me. Hope all goes well for you. and if you find something that is good for pain, please let me know. I'm an addict because of pain and have no clue what to do. :-(
