Is adderrall and xanax ok to take togeather or throughout the day?

I am prescribed 2mg xanax for anxiety. The last 6 months My anxiety has gotten allot better and I was rarely taking it (Like 1 or 2 squares of a 2mg bar) I am a full time college student and am under an extreme amount of stress and pressure. I have a hard time motivating myself to do the homework and am starting to fall behind. I have heard adderrall is common for college students to take. I finally was able to get some (not through a perscription) and it has helped tremendously with focusing on homework and other tasks in my day to day life.
In the beginning half of a 30mg of adderrall would give me so much energy but my body quickly built a tolorance to it. I have been taking adderrall about 3 to 4 times a week for the last 3 weeks. Because the adderral increases my heart rate I literally cannot sleep on it. So I started taking xanax which immediately helped. Now I am up to 75 to 90mg adderral (I've taken 120mg a few times too) . It has gotten to the point where I take the aderral in the beginning of the day, then my anxiety gets really bad so I take 1 to 1mg xanax to calm my heart rate. It works and my heart rate decreases but I get tired and drowsy so I take half a 30mg periodically until I feel the motivation and ability to concentrate on my homework. At the end of the night I can't sleep because of the adderral so I take another 1mg of xanax. On the days I don't take the adderral i feel very anxious and take about 1/2 to 1mg xanax, which i have also built a high tolorance to.
I have been doing online research to see if this is safe and have found mixed results. Some say adderral can cause seizures or sudden death and it really freaks me out. But I am at the point where I feel it is the only way I can keep up with all of my homework.
So these are the questions I have a few questions about my situation: is it safe to take xanax and adderral periodically throughout the day with the dosage amount that I  have been taking? What is the maximum safe dosage of adderral to take? Is it dangerous to take adderral and xanax togeather? I would really appreciate credible feedback and even links to web sights that may further answer my questions.
Ps. Please don't respond, "ask your doctor" I do not have a prescription for the adderral. Thanks again!

I just had to say, If you are going to college then you should be smart enough to KNOW BETTER than first of all to take a med that is not prescribed to you, and second of all, script or not, XANAX is bad for you too.  It may lighten your anxiety for the moment but it doesn't cure it.  When the meds wear off the anxiety is still there.  AND mixing the 2 is a nightmare raring to happen!

Totally ditto what vicki said above.

You're playing with fire big time.  You're abusing two VERY addictive medications, and trust us when we say that this will end up nowhere good.  You're probably telling yourself, "Yeah, yeah, I can handle it, I only take it when I need to study, or when I need to sleep."  You're displaying all of the signs of addiction, including watching your habit grow due to tolerance.  It will continue to grow.   There's no "controlling" abuse of drugs.  What you're doing is essentially no different than buying meth or coke for a pick me up.

Like others said, what you do right NOW can make the difference between you going back to life as you know it....or moving forward to downward spiral of addiction, which will rob you of all of the good things in life.

I wish you the best....please remember that this is an addiction forum, and people here are struggling to get clean.  If you want help with this, then you're in the right place, but if you want to continue to use, you're not.  This is a life and death battle for people.  Hopefully you understand that.  Take care.

Oh dear...you're on a roller coaster and you need to get off right now!  Adderall is harmful to you and will only increase your anxiety.  This drug will change receptor sites in your brain and it can be permanent.

You need some help so find someone who you trust; a doctor would be best. You need to taper off both meds, one at a time, and seek out some counseling to help you learn motivational skills without drugs to induce energy.
You've got some thinking to do about making a plan. Believe me when I tell you, the decisions you make NOW will influence your entire future. Make a good one!
