Is dizziness normal during Hydrocodone detox?

My roommate has stopped cold turkey from an addiction to hydrocodone.  She has gone through some terrible days and nights but seems to be doing a little better.  She has continually complained about being dizzy and this morning past out 3 times before I could get her to bed.  Is this normal?  I'm really concerned about this and wonder if it's time to take her to her doctor and let her fess up to him.

Thanks so much for your feedback.  She has not passed out anymore since yesterday morning.  I know that she was taking at least 10 a day but expect more.  She stopped cold turkey a little over a week ago.  She was getting better until this happened.  We talked about it and she told me she had taken a blood pressure pill about an hour before she passed out.  I wonder if that didn't bottom her blood pressure out.  She is drinking alot of fluids so I hope she is dehydrated but I'm gonna make sure she drinks lots of water as you two recommended.  I will take her to the Dr. if this happens again.  I think it scared her half to death and I know it did me.

yes, definitley if she is passes out again..I would get her to a dr. dehydration could be the cause and it's very dangerous to be dehydrated..some signs of that are dizziness,dry lips,sunken eyes..and if you lightly pinch her skin it will tend to not go right back to normal if she is dehydrated..she may need to go get a few bags of fluids put in her (i.v)  she needs to drink at least 8 big glasses of water a day and even more if she is making alot of trips to the bathroom still..

If she is passing out I would keep a close eye on her and take her to the doctor if it keeps happenning.  I personally haven't heard of that happening.  I agree with sadinmichigan about the fluids and food.

Has she been drinking alot of water? The bathroom issues can be really bad for a few so she really needs to drink alot of fluids..and get her to try and eat l little something. How many was she taking a day when she went cold turkey? How many days has it been? Generally days 3-4 seem to be the worst and by day 7 she should be feeling much better with fatigue and trouble sleeping lasting a bit longer..
