Is it OK to take 2 MG of clonidine and valium together?

I am getting dental work done and they are giving me Valium for the procedure.  I also take Clonidine at night to help me sleep.  I need to know if taking both is ok.

Clonidine is a med also used for hypertension so it would be okay to take the Valium; the two don't compete.Due to the drowsy effect of both, don't take them at the same time.
