If I'm going to take Ambien, I wait until I'm in bed, have no reason to get up afterwards, and then take one..hide the phone..make sure your wife is asleep.  She's told me of conversations we've had tha tI don't recall..i've also known people who enjoyed a wonderful time with their spouse after taking it with no memory of same!

to your question...my daughter, 19, took 4 10mgs one night and my wife freaked out and called the ER...they said it is out of your system fairly quickly and not to worry.  THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT FOR ANYONE TO TAKE 4 10MG AMBIENS..

Oh Ambien---phew..I like take 1/4 of one and am out for 8+ hours.
I first took it after hubbys death-couldn't sleep and doc rx'd 30 for me.  I went on a trip with my son and family, shared a room with grand daughter and she told me I was weird at night....I got up and ate the rest of the pizza in the refrigerator in our room, and tried to carry on a conversation with her---and didn't remember it in the AM!
When I was home, I'd get up in the morning and find dirty dishes, pans where I had like made a cheese sandwich or soup or something to eat.
Then I read about all the other stuff that people found out they were doing whilst on Ambien and I totally cut my dose way down.
Willing to bet the poster will wake up tomorrow-maybe not remember posting...

hey hun!!! Ask your doctor about Trazodone. I'm going to post about it, it knocked me out and supposedly its not addictive! yay! :) I'll see what the others think, but I'm sure the ambien is ok too. hope you're having a good weekend!!!! xoxo

I wish there was a spelled out word for that quick little laugh we give through our nose that isn't quite a snort:)  y'all are funny:)  However I've heard some not so funny stuff about ambien and rozerem and people walking, eating, and driving in their sleep.  Please note that when using sleep aids your brain and body do not usually reach the REM stage that is needed for nightly healing and repair.

I have a couple friends that did things on ambiem that they did not remember..One was driving....You need to try other things..

Also after you take it go straight to bed, I am just worried...Did you see what you typed 2 hours later?  Or did you wake up and type this and not remember?
Pleaese be carefull with that stuff!!!

no its not. I have taken three before and nothing bad happened. You might feel more drowsy in the morning if you take more than one
