Is percocet stronger then the generic form oxycodone?

I have been taking generic oxycodone although I was prescribed percocet because I do not want to pay 30 bucks instead of the 10 buck co-pay. I am finding that they are not working as well as when I had the actual percocet. Is there a reason for this? By the way, I am new to this forum but I have been reading it for awhile (lurking) but this is my first post.

I am so sorry. You are all so knowledgable about these drugs I thought I would ask here but I see my faux pas. I was reading the posts here because although I am not "addicted" I am dependent as I have been taking this drug for quite some time. I take it as prescribed but I am finding they don't work as well and I do not want to ask for a higher dose. I apologize for posting in the worng place. From what I have read here today, you are an amazing and supportive bunch and I wish you all peace.

We generally don't answer drug related questions like this. This forum is more for people who are stopping the drugs all together. You can ask at the pain management forum and they would be glad to help you. Good luck.
