Yes, you can come off subs easily be tapering. I am 23 days clean as of today. I started taking 8mg for about 10 days, then went down to 6mg for 3 days, then 4 for 3, 2 for 3, 1 for 3, then off. This is the best way to do it. Let me know if you have any other questions....
you should be on subutex if you are preggers...i tried coming off subs twice...the longest i lasted is 9 days. I WISH ii kept going but the lack of sleep was killing me.DOES ANYONE KNOW THE BEST WAY TO COME OFF SUBS???
Hi my name is Ashley, Ive been taking suboxone for 14 months.. and im 4 months pregnant, im seeing an addiction specialist and he doesn't want to take me off, i signed a 2 year contract. im concerned what will happen if i titrate myself, what its doing to my baby and if its in my system when the baby is born will the baby b taken away from me.. Has anybody tried ***-rating off of suboxne being pregnant?? or talked to a docter about it. i have so many questions and nobody has any answers. if anybody knows anything or can help me please help me or email me at ***@****.
no it is not proven to be safe. no studies have been done on suboxine and pregnancy and how it affects the fetus yet so it is a med that you take at your own risk. i think there is another med that has had studies conducted on it but i am not sure of the name, i will ask and try to find out for you. i run a substance abuse home so i know a little but about these medications.
Can I ask what is Suboxone? is it like methadone but a different medicine?
I know that methadone isn't safe to just be stopped during pregnancy. it can cause risks for the mother and baby including withdrawal.
If your doctor says to continue on it then do so. Speak to your doctor about possible SLOWLY detoxing you over the next 3 months and see if it's safe. Doctors almost always know best so I say trust him!
