Is the (new) 12.5 AMBIEN CR - Addictive? Is anyone having problems like my post below?

I searched the forum, but only found OLDER Info, addictions, withdrawals from the Older Ambien - But I could not find anything up to date (In the Forums) with this New 12.5 Ambien CR.

If anyone has any up to date info with this sleeping drug, can you help me out, as to whether it's SAFE, OR is it still extremely ADDICTIVE?

I only started it 3 weeks ago (you can read my post a couple columns down) - So I'm trying to find out if I should stop taking the 12.5 Ambien, (it works better than Lunesta), or if they have "improved" on it's additive effect.

I'm NEW to it and trying to find out any current info, or advise anyone can help me with, would be greatly helpful and appreciated!!!

im trying to help u.Ambien/Stilnox=Zolpidem.If u google Stilnox u will find a plethora of anecdotal and documented information.The incident u described is eerily familiar to many i have read re Stilnox in Australia.good luck

Oh... I forgot about the little people who would be on my bed when I took ambien. Little people about 10" high, 8 or 10 of them...

I cannot tolerate it...

They tried me on Ambien. One night I got up and got some chocolate and got it all over the bed, another night I got up and got a guitar and tried playing it in bad, (the wifey did not think much of that), another night I got up and started drinking bourbon and I rarely drink. I do ok with it for one noght then I go into this half sleep state and get up and do things. Lunesta does me that way too.

I like this, (a statement from the company)...

"Alan Brindell, a spokesman for the manufacturer of Stilnox, Sanofi-Aventis, told the Herald it had not been proven that the drug was causing the disturbed sleep behaviour."

Of course not... it must be something else. This medicine is worth to much money to cause problems like this...

I went crazy while taking ambien cr. When I thought I was asleep I was really walking around outside in the middle of the night, My daughter really thought I was crazy, she would tell me what happen the next day and I didn't remeber any of it.
