you are right it does feel awesome my whole family is here and they are just shocked and in awe as to how great i am i am the life of the party OFF PILLS holy jabolie!! my daughter is lovin all the time i spend to play with her and maker her laugh and smile and just be goofballs together getting off these drugs was by far the best move ive made in my life besides my bebe, my business, and my lexus lol keep on keepin on WE ALL CAN DO IT

tough it out girl its all about willpower mind over matter so make sure to go in with PMA'S you might be wondering what they are .. they are acronyms for POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDES / and the same as POSITVIE MENATAL THOUGHTS ... and then get on the W>I>T program ... the whatever it takes to be clean program ok! you by far based on what ive read from your previous posts you are now sincerely ready to kick this disgusting habit GO FOR THE GOLD! we love you

Wow! I knew I was brought here to this site for a reason...that being for the people you meet along the way that help you...maybe by the Grace of God. For days I have been thinking about how I'm going to feel when I get there how am I going to mentally prepare myself  for what I'm going to feel when I'm there...I need to stop being afraid of what withdrawals I'm going to have...am I going to die in there and be excited about getting my life back...

There's no turning back I'm am going to do this and know that God will be with me and I'll come out of this alive. I will be posting until the day I go in 9/6/07.

Thank you both for the encouragement..maybe I'll be able to sleep a few hours tonight. :) I wish I could give you hugs!!!

I have been to a detox like 10 times in my life both good and bad but most of them are very nice and very professional.........

It is nice that they medically help you through the W/Ds is there any counselling available?

The morning you leave it will be scary but look at all the people here that cannot afford or have no insurance to go to a detox who are forced to stay in addiction mode trapped in the limbo  of wanting to stop desperately but cannot afford to do anything about it.......

Your fortunate so do everybody here proud and represent the forum at the detox and when your done come back  and let everybody know how things went..........

Your very lucky to go but you probably deserve a break very bad in your life right now......

I hope that there is an addiction counselor there to talk to so that you can talk about after care when you get out.......it is very important.......

Thank you! They said that it's a 12 step program with group therapies. They also said that after the medical detox 7-10 days they would guide me for the outpatient services.

You're very right...I am lucky that I am able to go to detox (lucky I have insurance..otherwise it wouldn't be possible). I will go there thinking about people here and when I get out I will post my experience.

I'm going to make the best of this. Definitely change dr's when I come out (he never told me I was going to get hooked on Xanax...just kept giving them to me...I probably have 300 pills here because I have tapered myself).
