Its Not Cancer

Its Not Cancer

I finally got my breast biopsy results yesterday and there is no evidence of cancer just fibrocystic breast disease.  Thank you to all who helped me to stay strong during this long wait.  I feel so much better and I didn't ruin my drug taper during all of this thanks to all of your kind words.
Have a great day!

Girl ,
I am so glad to hear !!!I know how it is to have to wait for those results . My son was diagnosed with pediatric testicular cancer this time last year. Thankfully it has been removed and so far so good , it has not come back,However we live three months at a time waiting for the next test. I am so proud of you for staying on your taper. Feel free to e mail me anytime

that is great news....... A few years ago with my X she was involved in the Susan G. Komen 3 day walk for cancer........there fees were quite expensive so I use to do charity golf events to raise money for her and her group who are financially responsible for fees around two thousand......

I know breast cancer is an issue every women has to deal wtih  in their lives and not to sound bad but thank god men dont have to deal with it.........

With men we think that women have some very strange parts........don't get me wrong we love to visit but we wouldn't want to live there.......lol

again I am very happy your ok.........and cancer free.............

Congrats on your results!   The waiting is soooo hard, isn't it?

I had a biopsy that didnt give them the reading they wanted.   I now have to go in for a lumpectomy which is surgery.   I am doing it in Novemeber and will be so glad to get the results.

Good for you for keeping current with your mammograms!

Men  get breast Cancer too!  Less then 1% of all breast
carcinomas are in men.  Mens survival rate same as women.

Thanks for the kind words.  This has really been a wakeup call for me.  I am going to keep up with my health maintenance exams and mammograms, which I have to do every 6 months for 2 years.  I am also reconsidering my who taper plan.  I see the pain specialist in a couple of weeks and I know he does Suboxone so I'm thinking I'll ask him if I can just go cold turkey from the narcotics and start on Sub for a couple of weeks to be done with this.  I think beach is right, tapering is just prolonging the inevitable.  Anyway - thanks to all of you - this is a wonderful place to get support.  I am ignoring the occasional fighting and taking what  I need.  Next step is to find a local NA meeting.  Thanks!
