I am so there with you!  I can't sleep either, I have both xanax and klonopin, don't take them often because my other meds that I am detoxing from helped me sleep....but I tried a couple of them and they didn't help at all so I just thought, I am not going to get into this cycle too so just baring it out the hard way.  I know what you are going through, you are not alone. Just take babysteps, try new things to get you through.  I tried hot milk last night as a desperate attempt and it did help me sleep about 2 hours...never thought it would work but it did.  Hang in there!

if u had to take 50 mg of ambien then it is not what u need to be using right now...that is way too much....phenrgan helped me sleep and it is not habit forming..most doctors will call it in over the phone for a tummy bug//ask your doctor for something else to sleep....elavil is also not habit forming and will knock me out....muscle relaxers can help..try to stay away from benzos...ambien is not a good choice when anxiety is involved with insomnia as it does not have the anti-anxiety properties than a benzo does...valerian root works well for me and many like melatonin but it gives me a groggy feeling in the morning....tylenol pm may help as well....good luck and sorry about ur long night last night

Well, I did get about 6 hours sleep...a little restless with the stupid legs, but sleep none-the-less.
I think I took like 5 ambian last nite...wow, way too much. I only have 2 left, so I'm pretty much on my own.
This is day 2 and I don't feel all that bad yet. Have stomach cramps and going to the bathroom a lot...my body is sore, but not as bad as I remember last time when I hit day 4. Maybe i'll get lucky this time. THank you!

I hope you did get some rest...Sometimes it doesn't matter what we take, we still won't sleep for a while...The only thing that really helped me, was by taking a long very hot bath, jumping right into bed, and this would give me a few hours...I know that is just about the worst part, unless you have RLS ( was worst part for me) But honestly it will take time....STAY STRONG,

I hope you were able to get some sleep last night? If not I used Temazapam for the first 9 days and was able to sleep the last 14 days without anything. Any way your doctor could prescribe this for you today? Making it through the first 9 days seems to be very important for many people on the forum from what I have read and personally experienced.
