It's been 2 1/2 days with no Hydrocone Update

Hi to everyone,

Still haven't taken any hydrocodone.  Woke up last night pain in femur at 3 a.m.  Even on the Xanax and Ambien, I woke up.  And, I thought about some blogs I read on this forum.  Then I thought am I going to not be able to sleep, even on the small dose I was taking -- am I really going to withdraw like they say? I was tempted to just take the dang hydrocone, but I didn't. Instead, I wanted something that would put me to sleep, so I took a phenergan (I was a little sick on my stomach.) Whether all of you know it or not, lots of people, like myself read these posts and gain insight and understanding of what a sucky life it is when pharmaceutical companies are in charge of everyone's health.  I feel for all of you.  Having pain, then getting hooked on meds b/c the docs tell you to take the medication, you can wean off it later.  I haven't' been quite the 'junkie' but I am suffering a little nonetheless even at the low dose of hydrocodone I was taking 5/500 w/ acetamenophin.  I have been taking it since October of 2005.  Today I woke up with a headache.  I hate suffering, so I know why it's easy to relapse.  Right now I want a shot of morphine my leg hurts so bad. My pulse is back over 120. If the headache doesn't ease up soon, I'm going to get my midrin.

Hey..what's midrin?? Well, I am sorry that u are feeling this way b- it does suck, but you have to keep in mind that it is only temporary and this will pass. Try to distract yourself and try not to focus on how awful you feel.  IT WILL GET BETTER! Keep your chin up and hang in there! We are here for you!

MIdrin is a Migraine medication: basically a vasoconstrictor (constricts your blood vessels), sedative (for anxiety of headache) and acetaminophen (blocks  receptors) - I think that's right.  Ty for the encouragement.

Way to go! You seem to be doing great! Takes a strong and determined person to stick this out, and I see that in you for sure!

Could not agree more either on the comment about pain and getting the medication, then suffering double later. Seems that way to me. I have legitimate pain as well, back surgery and now more buldging discs..but the fact we have pain, thentake these damn pills...then end up in the situation we all are in now. It's a double whammy.
I definitely feel for you, and I admire your strength!
