Its day 5!! and..a little confused!

Well today is day 5, I survived the horrible stuff, atleast I want to believe so, HAHA!..I have 4 or 5 days more left on Clonidine and then Im free, Well on my own. I just cant believe I've made it this hard. I also have a question, Last time I detoxed in Oct 2006 I had REAL BAD cravings and crying spells, and I dont have this this time, I have crying spells because I am also going through a break up, but No cravings really? Does that come later? Or maybe not at all? Im a little bit confused...

I hope everyone is hangin in there, and has a good day :)

Remember: God doesn't put us through challenges he doesnt think we can get through.

Smiles Are Fake,
hum were you on the same drug this time then you were last , with myself when I detoxed off vikes no crying ,when I detoxed off ultram LOTS of crying !
if you are not taking an anti depressent for anything the is a supplement called 5HPT that might help with that you can pick it up at most drug stores or GNC.
Have a great day

Well Yes, Before I detoxed this time I was on Vicodin, and this time I was taking 10mg of Perocet like 4-7 a day maybe not even, I cut down the last couple days I had them so my detox wouldnt be so bad, This time around I took a higher milligram of Perks And Vikes. I am taking Paxil for Depression, I am on 20mg, but Next week I will be on 40mg, so I dont know If I should take anything so it messes up the Paxil. I dunno Im lost, My intestines hurt soooo bad, I feel like exploding (sorry for being so blunt). im happier today and just being excited because everyday I seem to feel better, Hopefully this lasts and only gets better.

Thank you for responding back to me :) I appreciate it

nothing was done different, except i took Suboxone for a day, and stopped that **** bc it was making my head want to blow off and my anxiety was sky high and my stomach was a mess. But I only took 2, 2mg pills my 2nd day of detox then trashed it and the next day started the Clonidine and Promethazine and Xanax, with my Primary Care Physicans promission. So nothing really different but maybe more of a positive attitude this time and a plan.

yeah suboxone can do that the first few days on it, that's why it has to be increased gradually and is usually used in conjunction with clonidine. Clonidine tricks your body into thinking it's producing more catecholemines(epinephrine-adrenaline and norepinephrine) than it is so your body produces less keeping your heart rate and blood pressure down. Suboxone is what is really good to prevent cravings because it is a partial antagoniat to your opiate receptors and the naloxxone in it is pure antagonist to block opiates and the cravings for opiates.

I know for me - crying has always been a part of it - but in weird ways.  Sometimes, like tears w/ absolutely no feelings, and sometimes MAJOR feelings and MAJOR tears.  The suboxone has absolutely curbed my cravings as far as I can tell.  I have to agree with oxy about the always want in a way.   U really think though it will lesson to whole bunch, that we will have to have our guard up at all times - b/c this beast is sneaky and can make us feel and think things that just are not true.  Just keep it in mind and keep doing what your doing.  It sounds like you are doing pretty good for day 5.  Im just such a wimp - Id still be having a pity party but you seem to have a handle on that - hell, I think that is 1/2 the battle.

have a great day
sincerest wishes,
Mis Take (Tracy)

I had to get off the Sub, because it was giving me bad stomach aches and headaches and anxiety and I couldnt take anything for it because it would either interact horribly or it would KILL me. Im not going to take something like that, i was pacing back and forth in my kitchen for about 5 hours having a panick attack, I had to get off of it! and to also know that I would have to withdraw from that also, made me say NO. The Clonidine has been doing good, So far. I know once Im off of it in 5 days I probably wont sleep for ****. I guess I can handle the cravings, I have some now a little bit, its not wanting it. its just kind of missing the "high" because thats what im so used to, in everything I do, Even sitting here on the computer. Im gonna fight this though, I want a normal life, Everyone is so proud I even made it to day 5, I just have so many things to look foward to other than pills. Im just scared the cravings will get so bad and haunt me for like MONTHS but everybody is different and maybe they will or wont for me, Just a waiting game. If I had energy today id be out shopping and its only day 5 thats the difference between me and some people. I dont know why Im progressing differently then others. Only time will tell :)

Take care
