Just wanted to tell you

this is not a question.  I just want these poor folks who are withdrawing from opiates and having such a hard time sleeping that it will get better.  Im sitting here after 8 1/2 hrs of sleep last night, yawning.  I could go take a nap if I did that kind of thing, which I don't anymore.  But I just wanted to tell everyone that soon-very soon in the future you will be able to sleep again throughout the night.  It's the best feeling in the world.  I always was afraid my entire life that I would be an insomniac that I medicated for years to prevent that, when I really didn't even know if I could sleep naturally without drugs or not!  Is that not ridiculous?  Your brain knows when to sleep and when to not.  Your melatonin that the brain gives out will kick in at night when it's time for you to sleep, and you will.  I just can't wait for you all to feel that again.  Anyway, just rambling now but wanted to share that,,thanks for reading

I do feel like I am getting worse, I can't keep anything down and my face looks like I was beaten. All I want to do is sleep. I can tell the difference with this and the withdrawals , the withdrawals were pretty much over by the time I went to the ER. My throat is so swollen I am having a hard time swallowing. I am giving it one more day on the antibiotics and if it;s no better, I'm going back.
  Thanks Taperme.......Becky

Keep a close eye on these infections. I don't want to scare you, but I ended up in the hospital due to a sinus infection that went very very bad. If you aren't getting better or get worse, OR you notice any area on your face/eye area that gets swollen and/or red/inflamed, get back to the doctor pronto! I hope you feel better soon!

Michelle, the withdrawals were a day at the beach compared to how I am feeling. My tooth is infected and it has infected my ear, sinus and my glands. I feel horrible. I was offered narcotic meds at the ER but I chose Motrin! It was hard but i did it. Yes, I am on some very strong antibiotics.  All I am doing is sleeping which I guess is common with these infections.  Thanks Michelle, Becky.

oh no Rebecca are you gonna be okay?  Are you taking antibiotics if that would help?  Get well soon, no good to be sick on top of being sick from pills!  Glad you are all getting better sleep.  It is intermittent for awhile, some nights still I don't sleep so good, probably not from pills anymore, but I love it when I can sleep good.  It's the best medicine in the world in my humble opinion :)

I went to bed last night at 9:20 and slept straight through until 10:30 this morning. My body is fighting some major infections so I can't seem to stay awake.

A safe and non addictive sleep supplement: Melatonin. Not a prescription or anything, you can pick it up at GMC or any other vitamin shack. Helped me a lot the first month. It does get better!

Yes it does get better. I got my first night sleep without waking last night after a very LONG time! I'm sure it will be up and down for a while, but I know it will get better from here on out.

Yes,Michele, you're right!   It takes a while but all systems return to normal.  If, after a period of time, things are still not quite right(3 months) a call to the Dr. may be in order.
All the best to everyone!
