Killer Toothache

Hi guys,
I had to come home from work today cause I have a toothache since last night.
its so so bad its hurts all the way to my ears and down my neck.

Im laying on the couch with a cold cloth on my cheek. I have a dentist appointment in 3 hours.
Im so so scared that he will give me pain pills.

I guess I have to tell him right away that I am I addict, how embarrassing!!!!!
Im so scared but the tooth ache is so much worse!!

you will be ok with ibuprofen, don't worry.... i had a big infection too some months ago and the antibiotics and ibuprofen worked well.

I had to go to the dentist when my filling fell out and I just took a breath and told them I am a sober addict from Narco and he just gave me a warm smile and told me he would give me ibruprofen and it would do the trick and it did. Just be honest and your dentist will know what to do and how to handle things

I was at the dentist forever, but Im glad he penciled me in.
My tooth is abscessed the infection is all the way in my bones (jaws). Got a swollen cheek and my gums are throbbing.

He gave me Cleocin to take for seven days three times a day and he wants me to take Valium when I come back to see him next week to pull the tooth.

I told him that I do not want any Opiates, because they do not make me feel well.
I know.......I lied!!!! Sorry, but I did not want to tell him.
I did not fill the Valium script, but got the antibiotics. Is Valium an Opiate?
The reason he said he wanted me to take it was because I was crying the whole time I was sitting in the chair. I could not help myself my anxiety was through the roof, being so so scared to relapse because of the pain. Since I know I have a addict personality I do not trust myself around drugs anymore.

I am ok now, I took 800 mg Moltrin, and some Tylenol.
I hope the pain will stop tomorrow

you did fine the valum is not an opiate its a bensopine taken for a short time its ok its only long term use that will mess you up the 800 ibuprofine should work for a tooth if not your just going to have to tell your hubby about all of this and let him hold on to the meds andv only give you what is prescribed...I know exactly how you feel though I told my doctor a long time ago I was an addict and he told me if I ever needed pain management bound ibuprofine
\that my wife would have to come with me and he would give her my script to fill and then dose me that the pills should never be under my control and this is a doctor that I had wile I was on methadone....I never ask for anything but we had the what if talk because of the condition of my back dont panic here use ice on an abscessed tooth put in on the side of your face alter it with heat good luck and God bless......Gnarly

Get rid of the Valium script.  No sense taking any chances with this med.  It is very addicting......

I know the teeth issues as i have had many and continue to have them to this day.  Take your antibiotic like a good girl!!  Hope you are feeling better today~~~sara
