Klonipin

Klonipin

I have been on benzos for about 6 years, the most recent being klonipin (klonopin). I am also detoxing from Methadone. I am taking 3 to 4 milligrams a day as per my MD. Have come down from 125mmg of methadone to 28mmg this week. Problem is I can't tell which is affecting me most. I believe it is the klonipin (klonopin) but side effects are very similar. I know everyone is different but what kinda timetable should I use and should I wait till I am off the meth before I start seriously detoxing from klonipin (klonopin)?

As far as a timetable, that depends on so many factors, and that's why a lot of doctors don't like dealing with weaning people off drugs. I agree with No name22 about the just can't stop taking Klonipin (klonopin). I would think that trying to go off both at the same time would be harder to do than to do one at a time, the Klonipin (klonopin) could help a lot with your end part of withdrawal from the Methadone.
You mentioned you have an MD, so please try to ask the MD this question. If the MD truly knows how to wean people down, he/she will give you the best timetable. Good Luck. Be very up-front with the MD.

Your big problem is most people use klonipin (klonopin) to help with their withdrawals after coming off methadone. Since you're addicted to it, it won't be of any help. I'd come off the klonipin (klonopin) first, then do the methadone so you can use it to help with the withdrawals.

If you wait to come off the klonipin (klonopin), and do methadone first, you'll be going through months of discomfort before you're "normal" again. With the klonipin (klonopin), it should only be a few weeks tops.

i have no experience with methadone...But alot with klonopin...I will tell you when i detoxed from klonopin the w/d's were 10 times worst then opiates..What i mean by that is the phsycial part is what last so long, mentally it did not for me...it was the complete opposite from opiates...Opiates physical detox did not last as long, but the mental last longer...Does that make sense??
I would never go trough that again without a doctor..I had no idea i could of had a seizure or died..
I hope this helps you some.
if you have any questions about klonopin i would be more than happy to help
