Klonopin

Klonopin

Hey everyone, hoping you can help.  First of all, I have not had an oxy since August 27th.  Hit the month clean mark, of which I am greatful. Off pain meds for good.  I thank all of you for your support.  I have met so many nice people on this site.  However, I still take .50 mg of Klonopin (this will be the next thing to go).  I have been at that dose for years. When I was detoxing from the oxy, I went up to .75 mg to help sleep.  It wasn't every night, but probably I had at least 62.50 mg every night for the last month to deal with the oxy w/d.  This week I made sure I stuck to the 62.50 at night, and I got dizzy/bad headache 3 days this week.  Yesterday was bad and this a.m. the dizziness/headache started.  I took 12.50 mg klonopin this a.m. and the dizziness stopped right away and I have been fine all day.  So here is the question, how do I get back to my doctor prescribed dose of .50 at night without getting so dizzy or a headache, or how do I wean to .50 safely?  You won't think a month would make a difference, but apparently it did.  Anyone with information please let me know.  Thanks.

Hi,

Congrats on staying off the Oxy. Klonopin is a med that needed to be tapered from and safely at that. You will need to work with your doctor on a proper schedule. It is a violation of our guidelines to give a schedule here, and for good reason. Please call your doctor and let him/her know what is going on.

Let us know how you make out.
