did the tramadol help. my vet gave it to my dog today for radial nerve damage. i dont want him to be in pain. its bad enough he cant feel his leg and he drags it when he tries to walk.
LOL, that is sooo funny. Very sad but soo funny. I'm glad you can have a aense of humor. We all need that!!!!
That made me laugh! I know it wasn't funny at the time but I have known addicts that have taken their dog'd pain meds. after all it is the same drug. And even taken meds from their kids!
Yeah, our Vet said the same thing to us, he said stear clear of Ibuprofen with dogs. He said they will pay for it later on in life. But, my friend who is a vet tech, in midland, said it could be given IF it is the LAST resort.
Your vet prescribed Ibuprofen for your dog? That's just awful! Dogs can't metabolize advil, and it should never be given to them. Better the tramadol and a stoned dog vs. ibuprofen and a dead dog. Fire that vet!
Once the vet gave my dog a bottle of hydrocodone for kennel cough. I took one look at that, saw that it was pure hydro, with no tylenol and decided that he'd be just fine w/o them. Those hydros all went in ME.
Stealing from your dog!! How sick is that?
LOL! Tramadol is a very common pain reliever used in dogs and usually is given for short term use so there should be no withdrawal symptoms. One of my best friend's in San Diego's dog just had a mass removed from her side and was on tramadol for a week, I could always tell when it kicked in too! It is very, very common!
