Last ? for tonight about Suboxone

Is suboxone a pain killer like the oxy's I was taking?  I was given the oxy's for herniated disks in my back due to a car accident a year ago.  Truth be told this addict was happy when the Dr. told me of the severity of my injurys thinking "this will be good for some GOOD SCRIPTS" anyway I'm telling on myself...Now I'm not having any pain and I'm wondering if the small amount of suboxone (8N) is a pain killer or if the pain is not there...maybe never was got to get honest!  Any help whould be appricated, thanks, and God Bless All of You

Suboxone is NOT a strong pain killer.  It is hardly ever prescribed for pain.

In my research I have done on suboxone I read that the opiate in it was never picked up as a successful drug on pain.. docs stopped writing scripts for it for pain due to patients not liking it for pain relief. then they started using it for withdrawl (withdrawal).
