Liquid Codein

Help!!! My 25year old son is addicted to liquid Codein ( street name "Lean").  Lately he has become this very hyper and talkative person.  Not sleeping.  I'm very scared because the last time he stop using it he went into clodl sweats and bad stomach cramps.  How can I help him to get off the drug?

Liquid Codine is just that, and an opiate like all the rest.  He will feel like the flu on sterioids for a few days, but it will pass, the worse seems to be day 4 as by that time you have been through 3 days of it and the insomnia feels like it will never end.  It does and after the day 4 things get slowly better...

Cold turkey He needs t  o be scared. It wont kill him. I have withdrawed of oxy numerious times. I have just got done withdrawing from a constant 60 mg dose of methadone. The cold sweats diarea shakes and vomiting. Will last about 3 days. After that he wont beable to sleep for a mounth. But after that he will feel like a brand new person. DONT LET HIM GET ON METHADONE OR SUBOXIN! Just deal with it its worth it
