He was taking anything he could get on the street. lortab, oxycodone, percacet. Heavy usage started about a year and a half ago. The last six months before he quit maybe 20 pills a day or more. He tapered down and finally quit about 5 weeks ago.

Stomach pain does not usually indicate a liver problem - hepatic involvment would be presented with jaundice (yellow eyes/skin) and lethargy primarily. But, yes, the pills may also ruin a liver - PM me if you need to chat further....I am a liver patient that has already done chemo and a bunch more.......

I am not a Doctor  - but the history you relate  does sound a lot more like stomach problems....a good GastroDoc would be in order - probably want to take a look with endoscope - but thats no biggie - may just want to medicate with a stomach thing - - med help doesnt want me to say anything about a medication - but there are many available that would help - good luck to you and do PM me if you need to .... no problem.

It can even be caused by something remote as Anxiety or Depression. Whenever I experience a depressive episode or anxiety, I suffer from really bad stomache pains and nausea

Hi
He may have a bleeding ulcer also a possiability.,
I had one once I had 2 actually. you, have to be careful. Dr gave me medicine and they healed in 8 wks.. Please make him see a dr. His stomach is the main thing now. I also suffer from stomach aches when I am nervous, depressed or anxiety.Although they have gotten better in time. Make sure he doesn't have a fever when he has these pains.
Best to consult dr.
good luck to you
