Long term effects of Percosett and Fentanyle

Long term effects of Percosett and Fentanyle

I've been under doctors care for 4 yrs. due to back problems and surgery. During this time i've been taking Percosett and have been using Fentanyle patches. I am completely off of them for 2 months now and am exeperiencing no sleep at night and extreme depression, how long before I start feeling normal again and start sleeping better. Also I have read that it will take up to 2-5 yrs. before I start noticing signs of recovery, is this true or not?

2-5 years before you START to notice signs of recovery? From what I've read on this forum that doesn't sound right. Are you sure it didn't say 2-5 years before complete recovery?

No....it shouldn't....physical wds takes a week or so maybe longer depending on the drug...the mental thing comes and goes for a while...if you get a good support system and stick to your gaol i would not think it would take that long to recover..I hope not anyway...I am over 6 weeks clean and feel significantly better already mentally...guess u never recover from being addicted/would always have to be careful...that part may not go away

I hope not. I'm not very familiar w/Fentanyl patches but I don't think it takes that long. I'd imagine that everybody's different...there may be some cases that do as I'm sure there are some that don't. I know there are ppl on this forum that know more about them than I do & hopefully they'll see your post. There's a lot of members that have talked about perc's as well as the patches...I'm surprised no one has responded to your ? yet.Have you discussed your concerns w/your Dr? Hang tight...I'm sure someone here can give you some insight.

RISCAL,
Please....do not pay attention to these HORROR stories!

Information such as this ( 2-5 year detoxes) usually arises from persons that are perpetually addicted to narcotics and that spend more time researching the "negative" affects of getting into recovery that they do being positive.

After some brief research I was surprised to find out that there actually is ()POST Withdrawal Symptoms that can last for 2-3 months...not years lol
From what you described..it sounds as if you just may be a perfect text-book case of what to expect. Belive me Bro,
I was addicted to heroin at one time so I do have experience with withdrawal and I can honestlt say, its still true that what ever you may of may not suffer during detox...it is WELL worth doing by far.

Here is a copy of my research:
Post-acute withdrawal effects
According to a range of Medical journals there is also an often under-emphasized potential for Post-acute-withdrawal syndrome which may last until after the initial short-term. Post-acute-withdrawal syndrome may induce or mimic psychiatric disorders temporarily or long term such as Depression (clinical), Anxiety disorder, Psychosis and in rare cases, even Suicidal ideation. Post-acute-withdrawal syndrome will continue for some months (usually 1–3 months or more) after prolonged cessation of usage which is also referenced in the Medical journals on Post-acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS).]].]

SLEEP WILL COME BRO

TRY THIS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

1)
MAKE YOURSELF GET UP EARLY EVERY MORNING....no matter :what time" you fell asleep get up no later than 830 am

2)

JOIN A NICE GYM THAT IS AS CLOSE TO YOUR HOME AS POSSIBLE.

GET UP EACH MORNING (EARLY) AND GET RIGHT DOWN AND KNOCK OFF 50 IN TWO SETS OK?

THE GET TO THAT GYM BEFORE BED TIME AND WORK OUT FOR AN HOUR..USING EACH MACHINE FOR 1 TO 3 SETS ON ONE BODY PART PER DAY EOD
(OF COURSE YOU MAY HAVE TO WORK YOUR SELF UP TO THAT)

3)
AVOID ANY STIMULANTS LIKE COFFEE AND TEA AND MOUNTAIN DEW AFTER 5 PM

4)
AT BED TIME AFTER TAKING A NICE LONG HOT SHOWER

PUT ON SOME VERY COMFORTABLE LOOSE CLOTHES AND START READING A A GOOD NOVEL OR WHAT EVER YOU LIKE.

tHIS "VERY" GOOD..TO READ AT NIGHT

DO THESE THINGS AND YOU WILL FALL ASLEEP
GOOD LUCK!

BP
