Looking for some old friends after being away from the site for over a year!

Just celebrated 15 months clean, what what!!!
This is my second or third rodeo but by far the longest I've ever been clean and feel awesome!
Excited to see who's still around!

Well will you look at who's turned up. I was "away" from the forum when you posted and couldn't wait to say hi and congrats. Very proud of you. Hope you continue your journey in recovery. On January 3 it was two years for me. I've seen a lot of people drop off the forum. Glad you are still around.

Hang in there please.
Not sure if this is your first time getting clean.  If so, you know what to expect and you know you can get to the other side.  If not, I'm here to tell you that it isn't easy but you can do it. As many here probably remember, I had a HORRIBLE time with the severe depression and anxiety after getting clean.  It is hard but sooo worth it.  Please have faith.
I can look back now at the life I was living and what I was doing to my infant daughter, and it makes me want to throw up.  It's just disgusting.
Life is so much greater without the fog and the drugs.
Please hang in there.

Thanks for sharing your "story" Sarah.  It's very powerful and very scary.
You just never know what you will do to get pills if given the opportunity, when you are using.

Thanks everyone!!
The 2 times in got clean before this, I wasn't "ready" to be clean.  I didn't want to be clean but I'll tell you what, when I was arrested for multiple counts of rx fraud and went to jail, I knew I had to be done.  I thank God every day for getting caught, otherwise I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be clean today.
I ended up getting 60 days in jail and 60 days home detention which I just finished both this past summer.
I will never ever forget being released from jail after 45 days and being rejected by my 2 year old bcuz she wasn't sure who I was.  That will be with me forever.
15 mos isn't a lot of clean time but it's been enough time for me that I have absolutely no cravings and no problem telling those that don't know, that I am an addict and cannot take any type of pain med or benzos.
The best thing I did for myself was to let every Dr, pharmacy and hospital know that I am an addict.
I couldn't be happier today!
To everyone just starting their journey here, life is so much better on the other side!
If their is anyone out there struggling who needs an ear, x feel free to message me!

What? What?  hahahaha!!  You are SO RIGHT, Sarah!  We amaze ourselves don't we?

I couldn't be happier to see your 15 MONTH post and hear from you again!
One of the reasons I will always remember you is because you had to be so patient to get into treatment and then "got" to go on my bday in 2012!!
I'm a week away from 19 months and say what? what? to myself frequently.
Are you still going working a recovery program and liking it?

It's SO uplifting to hear from people that I still wonder about these days.
Don't be a stranger, Sarah....we'd love to have you come around more often.  Good on ya girl....and MAJOR CONGRATS AGAIN on 15 MOS!!!
