Find a good therapist to visit. Especially with paranoia. I experienced an episode where I thought everybody was against me. Have her talk to a professional who is experienced with it. Talking things out seems the only way to avoid paranoia. It will help her to restructure her thoughts, and control her thoughts, and get frightening feelings off of her mind. Paranoia can run wild if not treated. I think it is healthy to be a little paranoid, it is what keeps people safe. My Dr. mentioned to me that we all need to have FEAR in our life, it is what keeps us alive and safe. Alcohol abuse made me a very shaky and scared person, and one frightening night in jail as a result of a DUI was enough to scare the pants off of me. Hope you can find a good person for your Mom to speak with. I would recommend she talk with someone face to face and open up with her fears.
Look up "The Ashton Manual" - - benzo.org UK - Ashton Manual - - - this lady devoted 40 years of her life studying benzo's -- --- this is most likely the best information on the planet concerning all benzo's...............it will answer your questions.....
I have recently lost almost all faith in doctors anymore. I see most of them as pill pushing money machines that don't take ANY time to understand their paitents anymore. I
mean how can you really get a grip on what's happening Ina 5
minute office visit. It's all about numbers with mostnof them. I guess if there are
any worth a crap in your area then try to switch her doctor if you can did one that actually cares.
Hi and Welcome to the forum!
I have been addicted for 9 years to benzos. Your mom is using at a high dosage and for a very long time. The only way out is a tapering plan she cannot stop CT. And she has to want it really bad. She seems to me in full denial...
What you could do is talk to the dr that Rx them to her and explain the side effects your mom has and see from there. ~You can find support for yourself thru al anon, please find a meeting.
Best of luck to you. sophie.
