Lortab WD ??

I have never taken any pain killers for more than 2-3 weeks at a time. I recently (3 months ago) had roator cuff surgery with an anchor put in to anchor it back to the bone and deburring to correct impingement. I took Darvacet for months before surgery but then I was changed to Loratabs the day of my surgery because Darvocet can no longer be prescribed. I have taken Loratab for 12 weeks now 2-3 times a day. I stopped taking them 2 1/2 days ago and I feel horrible. I am having major dizziness, nausia, soreness all over, insomnia and throwing up and diarehhea. Is it possible to have WD after only taking them for this short amount of time? I feel like I am having flu symptoms. How long will this last if it's withdrawl?????

expect flu like symptoms for a week, more or less...i think you have gone already through the worst days ( 3/4) so you will be feeling better with each day...Lack of sleep is one of the symptoms to last longer but don't worry, again it gets better with each day... try going for a walk before going to bed and then take a hot bath with epsom salts.. good luck :)

For sure...definitely possible!  You are about done with the physical WDs.  You didn't take it that long or at a high dose, so it won't last long.  Take imodium and advil.  Eat soup and toast.  Lots of baths in epsom salts.

Good luck!  Don't give up and take one.  It's almost over! : )

Yes unfortunately it's entirely possible. Even though you weren't abusing the meds, I recommend moving this to the Addiction:Substance Abuse board because they will be able to give you better details on what to expect.

scroll down and on the right you will eventually see the link for the board....best of luck!
