Lortab Withdraw question

I have been taking lortab 10mg for a year now.  I have increased my dosage dramatically.  I'm taking up to 39 10's a day.  I have made up my mind to quit and have started tapering off.  I took 22.5 10's today and I'm tapering around 10% or more daily.  Can someone give me some tapering advice or should I go cold turkey.  Are the symptoms lighter after tapering or will it be bad no matter what.  Please advise!

I just went cold turkey,as it seemed like the weaning off was only delaying the inevitable. But be warned, it becomes pure hell a few hours after your last dose, and will stay that way for about a week, give or take a few days. Today is day 6 for me after a 3 year killer percoset and fentanyl habit, but I'm starting to feel human again at least.I forewarned my wife, took the week off of work, and pretty much barricaded myself in our bedroom for the 1st 2 days of my self imposed detox.

You can do this, just keep telling yourself who's stronger, me or these damn pills??? That worked for me anyhow.

C/T at that dose will be real rough. Taper some more. Get down to a lower dose, say 6-10 per day before you even think about c/t. The lower the dose you are on. theasier the c/t gets.
