Lyrica for cronic(chronic) pain

Lyrica for cronic(chronic) pain

I quit taking oxycodone for cronic (chronic) pain 15 days ago after taking it for 18 months.  It was very hard.  I was already taking Lyrica for diabetic nerve damage at a dose of 225 mg. a day.  I had a checkup with my family practice dr. 6 days ago and told him abt my stopping taking oxy and about the increase in diabetic pain in my fingers and feet.  Oh yes...my cronic (chronic) pain was in my left hip.very severe.  He increased the Lyrica up to 600 mg.a day.  After 6 days my hip pain is almost gone as well as my pain in fingers and feet.  Lyrica is not a narcotic and although a bit expensive it sure as hell beats taking oxy.  I just thought I would post this as a possible help to all of you enduring cronic (chronic) pain who have stoped narcotics.
