I would be more worried about the demerol then the codeine...don't you think?

oh it is demerol i wasnt sure, is it as addictive, my neighbor give me 4 of em and i was going to take 1 a day instead of the 7.5's, would that just be trading on addiction for another, i just want to not have any pain also i dont want to get high, im very weak when it comes to codeine, but i dont really like these to well they work for pain and i dont take them to get high

If you don't want to get high I would not take demerol.

Demerol is some intense stuff. I would be wary buying them on the street first off..and if you are trying to quit drugs, that is not the way to go. Be careful.

well ive took these in the past and just one doesnt get me high, i took 2 one night and i got so high i had to go to sleep, i dont know if it is because i have such a high tolerence for pain meds or what, but it seems like 1 doesnt get me high, going to chiroprater again been going since oct 25, dont think its working but im still going brb all

Demerol by mouth is not nearly as effective as it is IM, or IV. Most docs don't even prescribe it. It can also cause seizures if you increase your dosage too much.(more than 50mg/dose) Be careful.

Oh. Forgot to mention, it *is* a narcotic. Probably a bit stronger than codeine.

thanx everyone ill definately wont make this a habit, im just trying to stop taking codeine all together and i figured since i dont like the feeling these pills give me besides for the pain relief, i wont abuse them, oh plus my neighbor gives me a few for free here and there, im not going out buying them or looking for them, i just figured if i can take 1 of these a day for the next four days the codeine will be gone from my body i hope

You have to very careful with demoral. If you are taking a anti depresant of any kind. It can cause seizures and serotonin syndrome.

You should really stop taking anything with opiates in them not just codeine.

I could be wrong but using demerol instead of codeine is like shooting yourself in the head with a double barrel shot gun instead of a BB air rifle... I definitely wouldnt take those if I were you.. good luck

What are you talking  about, demerol is not a super strong narcotic, it is a narctotic, but i dont think that 50mg tablet is going to knock you off your feet, it is just a normal dose.. it is usually given in 50-150mg doses upto a max of 6 times a day.. i had 100mg 5 times a day, and i was fine... just very happy all day on top of the pain relief..
