Made 90 Days Today

Hey yall....I haven't posted since my last milestone and for that I am sorry to those who need encouragement to hang in there.  I read everyday but have been so busy that time doen't allow for me to post as I ramble so much...ha

Today is day 90 for me.  Since my last posting, I have found me a new doctor who I laid everything out to.  NO LIES...NO PITY.  The dr changed me script for my depression medine.  Instead of taking prozac, I am now taking a new med that is called Pistiq which is in the same family with Effexor that I took several years back that had the bad side effect of profuse sweating for me.  I have now been on this med for 3 weeks and I feel like a new person now.  The worst part of the battle of the monster for me has been the depression and feeling down.

Do I still crave the Lortab 10? Yes.  Will I ever return to the Lortab 10?  HECK NO!!!  Life has new meaning for me now.  I am taking one day at a time under my Doctors care.  I have had trouble sleeping and she prescribed me trazadone which works for me ok.  Today has been a good day.  Yesterday SUCKED big time.  I craved all day.  Talked my husbands ear off.

To others who are battling with me...hang in there if you really want to be clean.  Don't look at your 90 day mark.  Just look at today!  Get through today and you will soon be at your 30, 60, and 90 days.

I know it is easy to say but hard to do but get up and do something for yourself.  Have your pity party like I did...but don't wallow in it and stay there til it overcomes you.  YOU ARE IN CONTROL!!!

I will check back in tonight.  Hubby and I have a dinner date.  Will share more later.

Thanks for being there for me during this road to recovery...

Until Then,

Longing4life

This is great to hear, congrats on your 90 days, that is a big milestone in recovery. It's nice to read positive posts like this and see someone overcome something so difficult. Cravings are part of addiction, but they do diminish with time. Enjoy your dinner date and congrats again. WOO HOO.
