Marijuana and Type II Diabetes

In my younger days, I used to smoke pot daily for many years.  It had been several years since I had smoked and I recently started again though very light.  Now I am wondering about how it may be affecting my blood sugar.  My blood sugar tends to be higher in the morning so my doctor has me taking a dose of Glucophage during the day.  Before I starting smoking again, my blood sugar was running between 120 and 140 first thing in the morning.  Now it always seems to be close to 160 in the morning.  I've been smoking just a little bit a night before bed.

Does pot affect blood sugar?

What can you tell me about Diabetes Type II (or Diabetes in general) and Marijuana.

I have diabetes and pot does not effect me it accatually makes my blood sugar go down. It has not changed or differed scence I started smoken pot.

i am 14 and i smoke pot every chance i can and i recently found out that i may have diabetes i would like to know if i do end up with diabetes and i continue pot use will it affect my blood sugar levels???? if u have bne answers please e mail me at ***@****

i am wondering the same thing.  i am 29 an just diagnosed with diabetes 2 and PCOS.  they want to put me on glucophage and i wonder if smoking marijuana will hurt me in ay way.
