ADDICTION: SUBSTANCE ABUSE COMMUNITY
Marijuana use and sexuality

Marijuana use and sexuality

While in college I was a heavy smoker of marijuana.  I've read that long term abuse of marijuana can decrease ones ability to concentrate for long periods.  The area of my life where this effect has been most apparrent is in my sexual relationships.  I find that I can concentrate on my partner for about 5 minutes and then concentration becomes more difficult.  I never had this problem in the past.  I don't have a physical problem and am physically in good health.  My questions are
1. Is anything that I can do to reverse the effects?
2. Should I discuss it with my girlfriend? (it is a sensitive topic - I don't want to make her feel that it is her fault and I don't want to make things worse by trying too hard)
I already exercise regularly, meditate, and eat a healthy low-fat diet.

hello, i see where u ae coming from.  although mj can lead to prolongued loss of memory and concentration, there is hope!
1.  lay off the weed for now.
2.  invest in some high quality gensing or kava kava capsules.
3.  allow your mind to experiment with all the insight it has gained from continuous mj use.  learn to focus, meditation is a good start --proud grin--
4.  visit www.lycaeum.org for furthur guidance.
the more u focus on u'r inability to function, the more u will defeat u'r purpose...think positive, happy, sexual thoughts.

let me know how it goes, luck to u,
jessi:)
