Massage Therapy & Detox?

I was over at my sisters house this evening and one their friends stopped by to pick up their kid, he is a massage therapist and a Louisville, Ky police officer. WOW I thought to myself hmmm I wonder...he was explaining how if you are all stuffy headed he could massage your face and it would release the stuffiness through the nasal cavity, I asked him How about detoxing your body? He said a massage would detox your body by 12%, does anyone know if this is true? Plus from a cops point of view....he said if I make it to 90 days I will have a 35% chance of making it without relapse, I guess if I still hung around those people that would true, but I have removed myself from that crowd so I think I have a bigger chance...lol

I would whole heartedly agree. Massage stimulates the lymph system to move out toxins. You always need to drink water after a massage for this reason. The lymph system is the 'waste system' of the cells in our body. Did you know we have 3x more fluid in the lymphs than in the blood?

massage releases tons of toxins..get a deep one..you have to drink tons of water afterwards to flush them out or you will be sore from it..it is true...if i dont drink the water to flush it out i can feel it the next day

$35 is an excellent price if it is an hour. Typically it's $60. Go for it!

doing well and have felt great for the last couple of days...no doomers...I dont get too excited as I know i go up and down but hey...i will take the good days when i can get them!   how r u?  do the massage...it is great...yoga is too

last time a cop "massaged" me they called it frisking, and i was in cuffs. cost me alot more than $35.  jokes aside, deep tissue does release a ton of toxins from your muscles, so i say go for it. but like worried said, drink loads of water...

i had 10 cops massqging me with their feet about 17 days ago,,,,i'm still releasing toxins.........toxins are a red liquid right?

I suffer chronic back pain, and I've gone in for a few massages since getting clean and it has helped..DRINK alot of water....but you should try it!!! :)  Nice job sticking with this too Skippy! P.S. Thought of you last night when I made a PB and J sandwich!
