Amen to Mtgoat --- None of the above ---- been there, done that - not going back --- W/D's from these three are pure he!! -- ---  Yes, if someone can only get clean by using them then they are probably better than Heroin -- - but there are other options.  Keep looking for them.  All the best.

That is not an easy question..all 3 are habit forming..pros and cons to each...i would try every avenue first

I think we would need a lot more info in order to give an informed answer.I did the methadone route, and me personally,I wouldn't recommend it.I don't know enough about sub.I do agree with the point some of the above posters made.I would exhaust every other avenue first, before resorting to any of them.

yesah this person needs to look up some serious info before listening to poll results...i chose methadone as the best choice for treatment for myself, i was on suboxone for 8 moonths stayed clean didnt relapse once, but then broke my wrist and got prescribed ms contin and norcos from my addiction doctor and taken off suboxone, aint that sum shiate..soo i swictched before i started toa buse them and start the vicious cycle all over again to go to a methadone treatment facility and its been over 6 months and its not only sved my life, but has given me structure, stability, motivation, and support...i think for all of these treatment methods which subutex sorry to say is only used durin detox and at the verry begininning of suboxone treatment then you are switched to suboxone so thos are the same...both ahve very long and brutal wd's..i would say methadone is a little worse seeing as you can go higher and higher on your dose where suboxone has a ceiling effect where i was at at 32mgs per day...it def. works, but i truly believe that suboxone treatment works for extremely motivated addicts or less severely addicted addicts, like a vicodin or percocet addiction..for the more potent and heavier addictions and longer you use and higher the dose methadone is a better choice, both are long term treatments...thats jsut my opinion, everyone reacts and responds differently, so...-christos
