Methadone and fiorinal interactions

I would like to know if taking a lot of fiorinal [butalbita} takes the efeects of methadone maintainence out of your system.  If it lessens the effects of the methadone.  I am also curious if xanax makes methadone less likely to work as well too.  I am a long long 35 year addict to narcotics.  I apologize for all the negativeitiy surrounding methadone and its use, but it is the only thing in this world that could and has saved my life, so please try not to judge witjhout all the other horrid details.  Recently I have been prescribed firoinal for headaches and I feel like I am goiong be=ack to where I was before I started takeing the methadone.  The methadone doesn't feel like it is even in my system. I have done a horribel 360 degreee transformation.  Any advice, except to quit the methadone, I know the side effects trust me, would be appreciated.

I wish i knew the answer to your questions here..I would ask your methadone maintenance Dr..I was taking xanax while on methadone and didn't notice any change in my levels of methadone at all..just not sure about the fiorinal..i took that years ago for headaches too, just not on methadone..maybe cross reference it on line ot ask a pharmacist. sorry i couldn't be of much help..someone should be able to give some more answers..
