Methadone detox from Lorcet/Lortab...?

I am not really familiar with how this works.  I defenitly know you run the risk of becoming addicted to methadone through this process, but I also know it has worked.

I have access to wafers and would like to give it a shot..

I take 15-18 Lorcet/Lortab per day... I have recently got it down to about 6-10... I have never absued methadone, nor do I even really like it.. The times I have taken it I have only taken 1/4 to 1/2 of a 40mg (orange) wafer..

I know I can take 1/4 of a wafer tomorrow w/o any pills in my system and probably not suffer much w/d from the pills..

This is about all I know, can anyone enlighten me on how to go about this process..etc... Really would appreciate advice, suggestions, anything.  I have acccess to pretty much all the Methadone I want.

Very true Methodone works great for detox off Heroin because of the intense withdrawls and for addicts who ate pain pills like Dr. House on House

Subutex and Suboxone are much better, many addicts just switch addictions with Methodone and stay getting high on it for years....

For my usage, would you say it could work?

I would like to try Suboxone or Subutex, but do not have a chance to obtain these in the very near future.  I would like to try the Methadone detox, but if there is no chance of it working, I will not attempt it.

I was thinking of going with 1/4 the first day and a valium to sleep.

Then maybe trying 1/8 for 2 days, then maybe attempt none.  I am not sure how this will turn out, looking for advice on that.

I have been on the fentanyl patches for over a year. They are hard to taper because the patches only come in 25mcg increments. There is one 12mcg also.

With each cut there is a mini w/d and the closer I get to being completely off of them, the worse the w/d becomes. I was offered the option of taking methadone for two weeks and stop the fentanyl right them. I have an addictive personality and methadone scared me so I'm sticking with the taper. I have heard of it working but I have also known people that ended up trading one addiction for another.

om on day 4 of detox and it ***** but we did to ourselves.  follow the thomas recp  and take lots of zynax  it help with everything.  get enough for the 5 days.  Suck it up we can all get through this,  go for a walk run dont lay around thinking!!!!!!!
