hey girlee...wow what a mess ...go on methadone to get off pills and then have your addiction drive you back to the pills wile taking the methadone...yikes...well as much
as I have done in my life to get gassed up , I never mixed my doc with methadone
my doc was darvocet witch has propoxifine in it....im told it will send you into
immediate withdrawals ..was one of the things that they actually gave me in writing
when I went on methadone...same dr switched me from one to other...so I was scared
to try it...as for other pills, ive read here that others have mixed the 2 to geather
and it took less to get high because of the methadone...ask Whitie about this I think
it was his post that I read...annyway there are other pills (benzos) that will "inhance"
your methadone experence..ive been prescribed zanex b/4 and wile I was on it
and if I took the zanex at the same time as the methadone you sorta got a feeling
of well being...not quite a high..but defiantly something..and Im shure I looked looped so you have to space your dose of one to the other to avoid this happening... and just like kim said this can be a deadly combo both my phyc dr and my pain dr where consired when I first went on it that there could be problems with the 2....if I where you id warn my friend that mixing annthing with methadone is gambling with you life..and if your wrong you dont get a second chance...methadone is a very strong
narcotic and almost annthing including alcohol effects it so tread lightly...Gnarly
Hey sweetie! I'm worried about your friend, too. From what I understand though, you shouldn't be able to feel the effects of Vicodin when you are on Methadone. That's why they started giving it to heroin addicts is because they could not longer get the high from the heroin which you know is a strong, strong opiate. I know when I had dental work done, they gave me Lortab 10s and I didn't feel a thing! They could have given me a piece of peppermint and it would have done the same thing. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Methadone blocks those opiate receptors so no opiates can give you that euphoria anymore. Sounds like there may be something else going on. Not making assumptions. Please let me know how everything's going. Haven't heard from you in a while. I miss you and please let me know about your friend.
Your sister is playing an extremely dangerous game with mixing methadone and benzos. That can be a fatal mix.I've known 2 people who over the last year and a half who have died from doing just that and both were taking a lot less methadone then your sister is taking.I'm not trying to scare you.Just making sure you know what a fatal cocktail that can be..I will keep your sister in my prayers. All the best...Kim
My sister has been on methadone for years. Most recently she takes 85 mg daily (liquid). Anyway, on top of that, I've seen her do coke. She especially likes benzos, especially clonopin or ativan or xanax and seems to take these several times a day soon.
I was they vicodin consumer. Only when she took her methadone early and ran out before schedule would she consistantly start calling me for pills to tide her over. Otherwise she seemed to have no use for them In the dose I was taking, 10 mg, she didn't seem to feel them unless she was withdrawing
I don't think they really should be that person could od. How meny mgs is she taking of both
