Mixing heroin with insulin - not a diabetic !!!

My friend is a recovering heroin addict, or should i say tells us all she is recovering. We have found evidence she is still using (smoking). She is only fooling herself as we know when she's 'on it'. I have found a syringe in her house (hidden) still sealed in packaging and it is labelled as insulin. She is not diabetic. Why would she have insulin? Surely there is no buzz off it and I fear if she decides to use it she will cause more untold harm to herself. So basically, HELP

U can tell when sumone is on methadone bc, for me, I was always nodding out at th most inappropiate times. Do u know for a fact she is going n every day to get methadone? How does she act when u can tell she's high? As addicts we r very sneaky and lie, alot! We don't care how we get drugs or how we get our high. The only thing that matters is our drug. I can't tell u y she had insulin maybe to use the syringe for the heroin?

Hi. Any time I shot dope it was with an insulin syringe.It does not matter what name is on the outside,it is what is inside.It is also something you need help with at first, so you don't make a mess of it. Who would help?              karl

I think you should confront her on this. Tell her that you are here for her and will help in any way possible.It is obvious that you do care because you are already seeking help. Does your friend know about this forum? I would tell her about it and have her get on here for advice. We all have had some form of addiction and have alot of empathy for people. I think it would do her some good to post her story and get some feedback. Just let her know that nobody on here will judge her in any way. I know for a fact that alot of people out there do judge people with addiction simple because they are affraid of what they dont know or cant deel with. But the main thing is try to help her and dont give up. Keep it up, you sound like a good friend!
