Mom to be

Mom to be

I have been battling with an addiction to percocets going on 5 years now and I dont know what to do anymore.
I just found out that I am pregnant and the last thing I want to do is harm my baby. My physician and I had planned on me to take clonodine and trazodone to help with my withdrawal symptoms, but due to pregnancy I do not have that option anymore. I am also a full-time student and will be finished in just 2 months and after I am considering going to a rehabilitation center. What do I do until then? will my withdrawals put strain on my baby? And if I ween off, can the pills hurt the baby?

Hon,none of us are doctors here and being pregnant puts a different spin on things when you're talking about w/ds.The best thing you can do is discuss the plan of action with your doctor and stick to it.We are here to mentally and emotionally support you in every way,but your doctor is the one you need to work with in order to stop using in the safest way for you and your baby. Please keep posting, this is a great place for help and support.Congratulations on your pregnancy, and for deciding to get clean for you and your baby, thats wonderful....All the best...Kim
