Monthly Roll Call Needed!!

Hi all....it's that time again-BRAG TIME!!! So,let's hear it,no matter if it's 1 day or 1 year, stand proud and tell the world!! For those just starting out on this journey,it isn't easy but it CAN be done and it is so worth it.  Stay strong, keep your guard up,and keep the faith. I've got 359 days coke free behind me:):)

In addition to clean time, how do you all deal with those "triggers" that can sabatoge our efforts of remaining clean?I think this may help some of the newer members in their journey...for me it was changing the social group I hung out with, and getting on here when I was craving really bad. Thanks all for your support!!And a huge congratulations to everyone!!!

19 months...

It's not often that I have cravings or thoughts but when I do I don't ignore it! I make a phone call, reach out and talk to someone I trust, leave the house, etc...It depends on where I am and what I'm doing. I have a different plan depending on the situation. So, the secret is to have a plan...always... and have plenty of support nearby!

Day 2 bitchesssssssss! (but I'm probably in a better head space than I've been in since this almost-4yr-long-journey of trying to quit began).

Dealing with triggers: Isolating myself is a no-no. Getting in the car and driving (doesn't matter where) and listening to music helps. Or just stepping outside and taking in the refreshing air. Also, laying down outside and looking at the stars has a way of making me feel so, so small, almost like my addiction pales in comparison to everything out there... and then I come back to Earth and remember I have a long way to go. It'll happen though.

Day 5 hear... Again...and again and again and again. No idea how I will stay clean. I'm doing good for day 5, no real wd symptoms except for some tiredness, very bad depression yesterday have not let myself get crazy like last year but
It's been like 2-3 weeks on two weeks off for like a year now. I'm getting tired. Meetings are just not for me I tried them and counseling didn't work. I Feel I have made progress not getting in deep again but still not kicking it. Maybe it will be this time. My clean date is 11-11. A date I have seen on clocks my entire life ALL the time. Maybe this is the time.

368 days for me. About 5 months ago a friend talked me into getting a PS3 and gave me a copy of Modern Warfare 2. I just bought MW3 when it released last Tuesday. I get bored or feel like I'm craving I go online and play. Takes me completely out of my head. Of course I'm now addicted to this game but it sure bets the stuffing out of being addicted to pills. FWIW I'm 45 yrs old.

60 days for me.I don't have alot of triggers but I do feel bad.Today seems to be one of those days.I go running every day and that helps.I get tired of having to wind myself up.It is better to just be worried about how you feel than to be using and have everything else in your life going down the tubes.

7 days today! Cravings are dealt with, right now by, getting on here and typing away, and reading posts that take me back to those dreaded withdrawls. My best advice, is start now, don't justify finishing your RX.
