More energy now that i'm sober

Sober day number 9 and i'm feeling FINE!!!!! I feel alive again, it's amazing. I just want to make sure im in the clear and nasty hydro is out of my body, because this seriously, feels too good to be true. I am so happy. I can function like a normal human with ease!

I always thought the hydros gave me "pep" but i'm doing more physical activities and chores than I did when I was on them! Maybe once I got my "high" I just got lazy...

Anybody else have an increase in energy after they got sober??

Definitely had an increase in energy once the physical stuff went away.. I think initially the hydro/oxy/whatever does give us pep but ultimately it exhausts us... I never feel more dead and lifeless than when I am using..

CONGRATS on getting through the worst of it.  Sobriety is a beautiful and uplifting feeling.  Dont forget it.  Enjoy your renewed life. Enjoy your renewed spirit and vitality and use it to stay sober and never go back.  Best of luck

You are right, it's so beautiful and so up-lifting, I never thought I would feel this great again. It was like I almost had forgot that life is enjoyable without the hydrocodone veil over my eyes.

I won't ever forget this.

Congrats to you!!!!  you've gotten through the physical stuff, that was the hardest part for me. The mental part I just had to get up everyday and say to myself I'm not going to take a pill today.  That was a year and 8 months ago.  Keep up the good work
