Morning folks..day not so good so far

Well I woke up in withdrawl for the first time in a long time.. I guess my taper dose yesterday didn't hold me through the night... I guess I am coming to that point in my taper or I may need to adjust it a bit later in the night.
I got a message this morning saying my mom either had an accident or was in one... so i am sitting by the phone.. she may have MS been having weird fainting spells almost stroke like for a few years..still haven't gotten a diagnosis.. they just put her on Neurotin and call it a day. so I may be off work again today..

Hope their are better mornings being had out there..

Hey girl,
Hope you mom is ok. I will say a prayer for her.  You hang in there.  Tapering is so hard.  You are doing a great job.

So sorry to hear about your mom, hopefully you now know what happened and that she is okay.
Maybe you should taper a bit more slowly - you still have time before the wedding, don't you? You have to be a bit easy on yourself in order not to burn out before the day of your wedding. Are you going to work today? If you are I hope that the w/d won't be too bad and ease up a little during the day.
Remember that you are so strong and are a great inspiration for many of us.
I hope that your day will be much better than your morning.
Hang in there and keep posting.

Hey g/f..I am sorry to hear of this horrible news. I am praying your mother is ok.

These fainting spells and such...what tests have they run? I have heard allot of bad things about nueronton...but then again here I sit on vicodin so who am I to judge...but just a thought if you haven't already looked into the drug.

Please let us know how things are.

Hang in there my friend.
Thinking of you..

still no word... I hate cell phones... if they are at the hospital then her hubby can't answer anyway.. my mom and I have never had the best relationship.. I have always been the parent.. She went through her 20's while I was in elementary school. but lately I have made more of an effort to give her a break.. as long as she isn't drunk..  This may sound awful but I am hoping it was just one of her dizzy fainting spells.. although last time her face and right side went numb for months.
I am feeling better now that I took my first taper dose of the day. its been about an hour. I may slow it down a bit for the fact of my bachlorette party is soon. may wait to stop til after the wedding, first weekend after.. gonna talk to hubby about it..  with stress and pain it may be excuses but the are real to me..

I'm so sorry about your mother, and I can relate on so many levels.  My Mom had me when she was 19.  From middle school on (when she developed her drug addiction/alcohol problem) I was most definitely the parent.  And it's never really stopped.  It's sad, but it has to be done.  My grandma is getting far too old to deal with some of the situations she finds herself in.  Not that she's out of control, but she still likes to have a good time (involving pills and alcohol still, but not to the extent that it used to be).  Oh well, we can just thing good thoughts/pray/not have a complete mental breakdown.

I hope all is well, and you start feeling better too.  Don't think it's excuses about your taper, you don't want to feel like **** for your bachelorette party/wedding!  You have to do what's right for you.

I'm sorry about your mom, and I'm sorry that you have so much to deal w/ when you're already on overload trying to get things done for your wedding. I wouldn't taper so much that you're waking up in w/d at this time. Things will slow down after the wedding.

Take time for yourself. Can you take a one day mini vacation right at home?? Just spend one day pampering yourself. Maybe bubble baths and whatever kind of music you like. Sometimes a person becomes counter productive when they push too hard.

I hope your mom is going to be ok and hopefully she will get a Dx soon so you know exactly what's wrong with her.

Please have a good day.....
Hugs.....

I'm gonna go with ladiesundown, her suggestgion sounds like it would be really good for you esp. right now! And when you taper, even a hald or qurter mg cn make a diff. I think you should go easy on yourself with the tapering too;) Relax a little, don't think about things too much or too hard. The mind needs rest just like the body does.

Hey Luvvie hope your Mum is ok.  Most of all I hope this stress doesn't make you feel weak!  You keep up the wonderful self improvement you've been doing so fantastically!!  Sorry you are not feeling the best.  See how much better you are already with being able to give your Mum another chance; I guess you have addressed the issues you must have had from living such a childhood.  you are such a strong and lovely person to be so forgiving and want to help her so I know you can do anything you put your mind to.  Cause your Mum was/is a big drinker the fainting can be related to that.  I was vegetarian for over three years and ended up with pernicious anaemia (B12 deficiency) I have intrinsic factor which means my gut doesn't manufacture enough B12.  Alcoholics can be left with same problem - your body needs it to break down food, carry nutrients and oxygen around the body.  Fainting, hair falling out alot, loss of shine on hair, visual disturbances, headaches, lathergy, mood swings, tingling in hands, arms, legs and feet are all part of the symptoms - it's not taken serious by a lot of the medical community but if untreated can be life threatening - just in case your Mum has cause they rarely test automatically.  I had to ask for the blood test for B12.  I now only have to get shots every three months, not pleasant but I can't function properly without them.
Anyhooo maybe have a word with her doc cause easily treated if it is.
God Bless you all and take care - Be Strong and Most of All Be kind to yourselves.
Luv and hugs Lynne xxoo
