you can still get your prescription early, you will just have to pay 100% of the cost. your insurance wont pay until the specific date. I have had to do that before. if there are'nt too expensive and you can afford it, I would go that way, instead of cold turkey out ot the states. keep us informed.

Hey Mia, good morning from the east coast, MA. I am on my day six of withdrawals. Day 2 and 3 were the absolute worse for me, and now I am feeling 1000000000000 better then those two days. I don't know how it is with morphine, I was going through oxycodone/hydrocodone addiction, which was prescribed, yet abused. It was presented to me that "The third day is the worse day," which I found to be true, to me... after that, the fourth day, it was ****** still, but better than the previous...
Here are some good ideas... Read the Thomas Recipe Re-Posted, at the bottom of the right column, and the amino acid protocol. Those are really good to help deal. Like they say, Hot hot showers are amazing, I found that just letting my hands run under hot water for a few minutes was pretty relieving, I don't know why. Loperamide helped me with cramping and some of the symptoms. Clonidine, which has to be prescribed (Ibelieve) helps lower the blood pressure, which is one of the things that make the symptoms be so hellish. You might be able to get clonidine overseas, do some research (it also helps sleep). The Benzos I heard a good to take, when needed to sleep and sedate yourself. I bought a vitamin B complex and took that, which gave me some energy and helps with the body healing... Just read those two and follow them to the 'T' and you shouldn't be too bad... Well it'll suck, but in two weeks... you should be feeling a he!! of a lot better..

Unfortunately because of the drug plan I am on I cannot get a new perscription in time. I've tried and I know it's crazy because I need them but I'm on disability and because of the dose I'm perscribed They will not refill until the day I'm out which will be when I'm away. I want to get off of them anyways which is why I figure going cold turkey now may be the best solution for a bad siuation.
Thanks for your help though. What are the symptoms that can last weeks? I know the obvious symptoms of withdrawl "cramps, sweats, restlessness, sickness..." do those also come and go for the weeks after or are they more subtle like aches and body cravings?
I guess I'm confused, are you saying you are gonna run out of morphine before you get back in the states? if so call the doctor prescriping them and ask for another refill early, if you explain the situation of going out of the country and you should have no problem getting a new prescription. if not when you run out, you will have w/d immediately and it wont be pretty, it's gonna be like having the flu. morphine leaves your body after 72 hours but w/d can last up to weeks. hope this helped.

I dont plan to try and kick it over seas, i'm sorry if that was unclear!
Also i know I'm going to go through withdrawl, i was just wondering what would be best to help in the next 2 weeks to get me though. If there is anything I can do to help ease the withdrawl and to also if anyone knows how bad it may be knowing my dosage, just what I should expect in the next 2 weeks.
Your not going to be able to replace opiates with valium or alcohol or anything. You are gonna withdrawal, the valium might let you sleep for a half hour but i hope you ain't planning on working or meeting with people while you are overseize, cause you are in for a serious surprize. I would really try to get a doctor to give you a couple weeks worth of Subx and then the kick should be relatively easy after you run out.
I would NOT try and detox on vacation or whatever in another country. I, myself would do what I had to do to get through the time away. I would detox at home. Im gonna have to agree with A-bomb on this one. GOOD LUCK!
I think you might be in trouble.
